How To Level Up Quickly: Intro[]

Level Up

You level up by augmenting your closet value (CV). Each new item in your closet costs a certain amount of Covet dollars or diamonds. Your CV will be the sum of all items, dollars and diamonds, put together.

Your main goal to level up in Covet, then, is to SHOP, SHOP, SHOP!

You can get new items in several ways: 1. Buy them. 2. Win them in a Rally, 3. Win them as prizes for the looks you submit in Style Challenges.

Let’s break it down.

1. Buy Items[]

Buy items with IRL money

If you can and want to spend real money to buy items, you can level up faster by buying Fashion Packs and/or Covet diamond packs from the Covet Store.

  • Fashion packs are available for each Flashback challenge or at the beginning of each new Season as Fashion Essentials packs. These packs are one of the most inexpensive options to build CV and usually contain high value items. They're currently available for 99cents USD or equivalent in your national currency.
  • Diamond packs are available in the store, and the diamonds can be used to buy items in-game.

  • Covet awards you Covet cash for entering challenges and at the beginning of each new season. Covet also awards you 100 diamonds daily, plus diamonds won in rallies, challenges, and Jet Sets. That said, you'll need a lot of items if you want to level up!
  • For most players, the most urgent question quickly becomes, "How can I get more cash and diamonds"?

Ways to Get Covet Cash
  • Challenges will pay 500$, 200$ or 100$. Diamonds can also be converted to Covet cash, and cash bundles can be won in rallies.
  • It's a good idea to enter the Daily every day to build up your stash of Covet cash. Try not to buy anything for the daily, and borrow from your Fashion House or Friends. Many experienced players will also suggest not buying more for a challenge than the challenge will pay, but this can be difficult for newer players. While you'll build your Covet cash that way, your CV might suffer and ultimately, delay progress in leveling up. So it's kind of a trade-off. It's also a good idea to begin saving for a new season about two weeks before the season starts.
  • Covet also gives you an amount of money at the beginning of each new season, and for achieving Trendsetter status.

Ways to Get Diamonds
  • 100 diamonds arrives daily in your Inbox, 23 hours after picking up the previous allowance. (You also get 20 tickets daily to enter challenges). It's a good idea to log in every day and pick up your daily diamond allowance so that you build up your savings, even if you're not entering challenges.
  • You can also be awarded diamonds for your look scores: 25 diamonds for a score higher than 4.50 - 500 diamonds for a Best Look In Level - and 5,000 diamonds for a perfect score of 5.80.
  • Finally, you can watch video ads for 10 diamonds each, up to a maximum daily amount, or complete Tapjoy offers for extra diamonds. Keep a lookout for “double diamonds weekends” (self-explanatory, really).

Note

The maximum daily amount of diamonds for watching video ads seems to vary according to country. Players are reporting anywhere from 200 to over 1000 possible extra diamonds daily from watching ads.

There are a number of YouTube videos and web sites offering unlimited Covet cash and/or diamonds. Players have been banned from the game for using these so-called Hacks. Just FYI.

2. Win Items[]

Entering style challenges not only pays Covet cash, but also helps you build your CV by allowing you to win garment items as prizes, depending on the score you receive. You will generally receive one item, and sometimes two, for a 4.0 score and for a 5.0 score. The value of these items depends on how expensive the challenge is: the daily challenge gives you the lowest-value prizes, followed by the $100 challenges, then the $200 ones, and finally the Flashbacks.

If you're consistently scoring 4.0 and above, you'll build CV with every challenge entered, and without spending any additional money.

3. Join a Fashion House or Make Friends[]

Fashion House

Joining a Fashion House (FH) is absolutely essential for leveling up quickly. Not only can you borrow from FH members so that you can more easily enter challenges, but winning rallies means you'll receive extra prizes that help build your CV. Rallies often have Hair Accessories (HAs) as a Grand Prize, and while these don't build your CV per se, they can make a different to your look scores (which do build your CV, since you win prizes with better scores).

With Friends, linked through your Facebook account, you can borrow for every single challenge. This way, you can enter more challenges, and win more prizes! You can also check out our walkthrough for creating a Covet-only Facebook account and linking it.

4. Go on a Spree[]

Every week, there’s a Style Spree that gives you an additional prize. Since the Spree pays out higher-value items, typically between 3,000 - 6,000, this also really helps you to build your CV quickly. Of course, you'll have to spend some real or virtual money to enter the 28 challenges needed to complete the Spree - so again, it's a bit of a trade-off in terms of savings versus leveling up.

5. How much closet value do I need to get to the next level?

Current Max Level is 117 (1/20/2023) It usually goes up one max level per month in the first week of the month.

To reach Level 117 you need a closet value of $10,800,000 Each level above this will need an additional $100,000 in closet value.

How far do you have to go in closet value is basic math. I have a basic google sheet created that goes from level 1 (which is $0) and up.

It is a "thing" to post when you hit a $30,000,000 closet value. This would be the equivalent of level 309.
